    , finely minced
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes(optional)

Omit or reduce if you prefer milder heat

  • 15 g cornstarch

  • 15 ml cold water(optional)

    For cornstarch slurry only

Method

  1. 1

If desired for extra flavour, heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat and sear the pork tenderloin for 2–3 minutes on each side until lightly browned. This step is optional but recommended.

    ~5 mins
    Optional step

Tip: Browning adds depth to the finished dish

  2. 2

Place the pork tenderloin in the slow cooker.

    ~2 mins
  3. 3

In a small bowl, whisk together the all-purpose seasoning, chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.

    ~5 mins
  4. 4

Pour the sauce mixture over the pork in the slow cooker.

    ~2 mins
  5. 5

Cover and cook on Low for 6 hours or on High for 4 hours, until the pork is very tender and cooked through (internal temperature 63°C / 145°F).

    ~6 hrs

Tip: Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your tenderloin and your specific slow cooker; start checking at the 5-hour mark on Low

  6. 6

If you prefer a thickened sauce, mix the cornstarch with the cold water to form a smooth paste. Stir this slurry into the sauce in the slow cooker during the final 30 minutes of cooking, stirring until the sauce thickens. Alternatively, skip this step for a thinner sauce.

    ~5 mins
    Optional step

    Tip: This step is optional

  7. 7

Remove the pork from the slow cooker and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with the garlic sauce spooned over the top.

    ~10 mins

Tip: Resting ensures the meat stays juicy; serve with rice, vegetables, or crusty bread
