Ingredients
Main
- 4 pieces Pork chops, about 2 cm thick
Bone-in or boneless work well. Pat dry before browning.
- 2 medium Onions, sliced
- 240 ml Beef or chicken stock
Reduced quantity for slow cooker to prevent watery gravy
Seasoning
- 1 tsp Salt
To taste
- ½ tsp Black pepper, freshly ground
To taste
- 1 tsp Garlic powder or fresh garlic(optional)
Optional for extra flavour
For serving
- 15 g Fresh parsley or thyme, finely chopped(optional)

Pat the pork chops dry with kitchen paper and season generously on both sides with salt and black pepper.

Heat a little oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Brown the pork chops for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden. This develops deeper flavour. Transfer to the slow cooker.

Pour the stock over the pork chops and onions. Add garlic powder if using.
