About Slow Cooker Recipes
We turn popular cooking videos into clear, written slow cooker recipes — so you can get straight to the recipe instead of sitting through a 20-minute video.
What this site is
Some of the best recipes online are locked inside long YouTube videos — a celebrity chef's curry, a much-loved beef stew, a creator's signature pulled pork. If you just want to cook it tonight, scrubbing through the video for the quantities and timings is slow going.
Slow Cooker Recipes fixes that. We take a popular cooking video, write the recipe out in full, and adapt it for the slow cooker. Every ingredient, every step, the prep and cook times, written down so you can read it in seconds and start cooking. That is the whole offer.
How we make a recipe
We are open about the process, because the process is what makes the recipes reliable:
- We pick a strong source video. It has to be a genuinely popular, well-reviewed cooking video — not a thin one.
- We transcribe it. The creator's spoken method becomes text we can work from.
- We extract the recipe with a strict source-fidelity rule. Quantities, steps and timings come from what the creator actually said. If a quantity is not stated in the video, it is not invented. If a step is not shown, it is not padded out.
- We adapt it for the slow cooker and rewrite it in plain British English with metric-first measurements.
- We credit the creator. Every recipe page names the original cook, links their video, and embeds it — so you can still watch the original if you want to.
Editorial standards
- British English, metric measurements first, with an imperial toggle.
- Honest prep and cook times — slow cooking takes the hours it takes.
- Every recipe credits and links its source. We do not pass off other cooks' work as our own.
- No invented quantities, no padding, no filler.
Who runs it
Slow Cooker Recipes is run and edited by Richard. He chooses the source videos, adapts each recipe for the slow cooker, and reviews the result.
