Cooking time: 7-8 hours on Low setting


  • 1.3 kg (3 lbs) cut-up frying chicken
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 garlic (medium)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 onion (large), sliced
  • teaspoon pepper


  1. Mix the oil, paprika, pepper and salt in a bowl.
  2. Mix thoroughly to form the paste.
  3. Spread the paste to the chicken.
  4. Place the slices of onions in a slow cooker.
  5. Add the chicken.
  6. Separate the the cloves (keep un-peeled)
  7. Put the cloves around the chicken.
  8. Cover and cook for 7 to 8 hours over low.
  9. Using a slotted spoon, take the chicken, garlic and onion off the slow cooker.
  10. Transfer into a serving platter.
  11. Squeeze the cloves over chicken.
  12. Best if served with bread.
