  • 1.5 lb (700 g) lean beef, minced
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cups chopped onions
  • 1 medium green capsicum chopped
  • 4 oz (110g) canned chopped green chillies drained
  • 12 oz (340g) corn kernels
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon pepper


  • Combine lean beef, white vinegar, chilli powder, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a bowl and scramble-dry it in a non-stick skillet until browned. Drain.
  • Place onions into a 3.5L to 5L slow cooker. Add the green capsicum, green chillies, corn, and some partially cooked macaroni. Add beef mixture, and stir.
  • Combine the pepper, salt, white sugar, dried oregano, parsley flakes, chilli powder, and elbow macaroni in a bowl and stir well. Pour this over the top, stir, and cover. Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
