Cooking time: 8-10 hours on Low setting

Ingredients:

  • 1 x 425 g (15.5 oz) can of garbanzo beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 x 425 g (15.5 oz) kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 x 425 g (15 oz) can of black beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 x 280 g (10 oz) diced tomatoes (no need to drain)
  • 1 x 35 g (1.25 oz) chili seasoning mix
  • 1 x 425 g (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 3 cups of water
  • 1 vegetable or chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 cup of dried lentils, sorted and rinsed

Steps:

  1. Place all the ingredients except for tomato sauce and tomatoes in a slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook for 8 to 10 hours on low.
  3. Add the tomato sauce and tomato to the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer into the serving bowls.
  6. Serve.
