Cooking time: 3 hours on High settings and 4-5 hours on Low settings

Ingredients:

  • cup chopped onion
  • 1 kg (3 lb) boneless pork shoulder, cubed
  • 110 g (4 oz) diced jalapeno peppers in can
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200 g (7 oz) green salsa in can
  • 410 g (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes in can

Steps:

  1. In a large skillet, heat the oil then add the garlic and onion.
  2. Cook until fragrant.
  3. Put the pork cubes and cook until brown on all sides.
  4. Transfer the pork to a slow cooker then add the onions and garlic.
  5. Stir in the jalapeno peppers, tomatoes and green salsa.
  6. Cover and cook for 3 hours over high heat, reduce the setting to low and cook for another 4-5 hours.
