Ingredients:
- 400g (14 oz) canned tomatoes with juice, broken up
- 1 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ¾ teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon parsley flakes
- ½ teaspoon white sugar, granulated
- 450g (1 lb) cooked, shelled prawns (or shrimp)
- Grated parmesan cheese, sprinkle
Steps
- Using a 3.5L slow cooker, combine the tomatoes, onion, garlic,
dried oregano, salt, pepper, parsley flakes, and white sugar. Cover
the cooker and cook for 6-7 hours on low or 3 – 3 ½ hours on high.
- Add the prawns to the mix and stir. Cook on high for about 15
minutes or until the shrimp is completely heated through.
- Serve over rice or pasta, and sprinkle with cheese.
