Preparation time: 10 minutes
Slow Cooker Size 3.5L+
Serves: 4
Cooking time: 4-5 hours on  Low setting and 20-30 minutes on High setting

Ingredients:

  • kg (1 lb) boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 225 g (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • kg (1 lb) shrimp, uncooked
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • cup of white wine
  • cup of butter

Steps:

  1. Rub the salt and pepper into the chicken pieces.
  2. Heat butter in the skillet and brown the chicken.
  3. Transfer the browned chicken into a slow cooker.
  4. Place the broth, tomato sauce, onion, basil and garlic into a bowl.
  5. Add the wine and pour the mixture over chicken.
  6. Cover and cook for 4 to 5 hours over low heat.
  7. Add the shrimp and stir.
  8. Cover and cook for another 20  to 30 minutes over high heat.
  9. Transfer into the serving bowls and serve.
