Is the tomato paste Tomato puree? (sorry if the answers obvious, just want.make sure as it says sauce on the ingredient list (which i would think to be ketchup) but says paste on the method, (which i would assume to be puree) :D x

Ingredients

  • 2 lb (900g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 4 lb (2kg) garlic cloves chopped
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 2 scallions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 cups long-grain rice
  • ⅓ cup tomato paste
  • cup plain whole-milk Greek yoghurt
  • kosher salt
  • black pepper

Steps:

  • Place the garlic, ginger, cumin, curry powder and tomato paste.
  • Pour in the cup water.
  • Add the onion and mix well until combined.
  • Add the chicken, 1 teaspoon salt and teaspoon of pepper.
  • Cover and cook for 7 to 8 hours over high heat or 3 to 4 hours over high.
  • Meanwhile cook the rice according to the package directions.
  • Before serving add teaspoon salt and yogurt. Stir to combine.
  • Sprinkle with scallions and serve with rice.
