Cooking time: 8-10 hours on LOW setting or 4-5 on HIGH.


  • 3 cups baby carrots
  • 900g (2 lbs) baby potatoes, larger ones cut in half
  • cup sour cream
  • 300g (10 oz) can of condensed onion soup
  • 900g (2 lbs) uncooked bratwurst sausage, cut into 5 cm (2 inch) pieces


  1. In a 4 to 5L slow cooker, layer baby potatoes, baby carrots and bratwurst sausage.
  2. Sprinkle with generous amount of pepper.
  3. Pour in the soup. Cover and cook for 8 to 10 hours over low heat or 4 to 5 hours over high heat.
  4. Transfer sausage, carrot and potato using a slotted spoon to a large serving plate.
  5. Cover to keep warm. Discard fat from cooking liquid.
  6. Serve immediately.
